Returning to the Public Celebration of Mass –

The public celebration of Mass resumes on Monday, June 29th. This will be a source of great joy and hope for many in our parish communities. Public health considerations will however require some practical adjustments to the way we celebrate our liturgies. The two metre physical distancing and government requirements mean that the number of people in the church will be greatly reduced. The demands of physical distancing will also need to be considered when people are entering and leaving the church and at the distribution of Holy Communion. We are at present working out the logistics of this but one thing is certain all this has to be managed and we will need STEWARDS to help us.

Can you help us?

We are looking for volunteers to help us in the four churches – Cathedral of St Mary and St Anne, Church of the Annunciation Blackpool, St Brendan’s Church, The Glen and St Oliver’s Church, Ballyvolane.

If you can help, please contact Lorraine in The Cathedral parish Office at 087 0649577 or by email at

You may also contact Fr John or Fr Damian at 087 2381187

We thank you for taking the time to read this and also for your consideration and understanding at this time.

God bless you and your families.
