Today is the Feast Day of Saint Teresa of Calcutta. Many of us still remember her as Mother Teresa. She was born in Macedonia in 1910 & having decided to devote her life to the Lord, she joined the Loreto sisters to become a missionary to India. She was then sent to Ireland to learn English In Rathfarnham, Dublin for two months. She founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950. She died on September 5th in 1997. Her good work is continued today by over 3,500 sisters of her order in 133 countries. In Ireland her sisters continue her work in each of our provinces. We send special thoughts & prayers today to her sisters, especially her sisters who do such good work, close by us, in Blarney. We ask the Lord to bless them & all sisters everywhere.
